SIGHUP 1 A Hangup detected on controlling terminal
or death of controlling process
SIGHUP is the signal a process gets when your modem connection or
terminal dies (or, in this day and age, when you close an xterm).
It generally causes the process to abort. It is also often used to
signal processes to re-read their config files, as in "kill -HUP 1".
